Volunteer Firefighters Tax Credit Program Act 172 CKSD Application
The Volunteer Firefighter Tax Credit is available to Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company and Blue Knob Volunteer Fire Company members who reside in Greenfield Township, Blair County.
A notarized eligibility list of volunteers will be given to the Township from the Chief by January 31st. At the fire station, an eligibility list will be posted.
The Township Volunteer Service Credit Program Application
The eligibility period is January 1st through December 31st each year. Minimum eligibility criteria for the Volunteer Firefighters Tax Credit Act 172 are as follows: 30% Participation in Emergency Response Calls, 30% Completion of certified training opportunities, and 30% Participation in fundraising activities.
The application, completed by the volunteer, is due to the Township Secretary no later than April 1st.
The Board of Supervisors will approve the Official Tax Credit Register at a May public meeting.
Approved tax rebate checks will be issued no later than June 1st.
The tax credit is 100% of municipal property tax and earned income tax collected by Greenfield Township, Blair County.
The CKSD Volunteer Service Credit Program Application
The eligibility period is January 1st through December 31st each year. Minimum eligibility criteria for the Volunteer Firefighters Tax Credit Act 172 are as follows: 20 Emergency Response Calls, 16 Completed hours of certified training opportunities, 12 hours of Record keeping activities, 12 hours of Participation in fundraising activities, and 12 hours of Station property maintenance activities.
The application, completed by the volunteer, is due to the CKSD Business office no later than April 1st.
The Board of School Directors will approve the Official Tax Credit Register at a May public meeting.
Approved tax rebate checks will be issued no later than June 1st.
The tax credit is up to a maximum of $200 earned income tax collected by the Claysburg-Kimmel School District, Blair County.
